Please join Team Toddlewood as we join the fight for social justice and equality the way we know how- through art, photography and our beautiful CHILDREN! Toddlewood® has been recreating Hollywood red carpet, iconic pop-culture and political moments in time through photography for over ten years. What started as a simple idea by Tricia Messeroux, creator of Toddlewood, quickly became an international phenomenon as she transforms kids to look like these high profile individuals. New York, NY – June 10, 2020 – Tricia Messeroux, along with her Toddlewood® Dream Team have been producing series of award season transformations – recreating over 200 of some of the most memorable red carpet looks and moments from The Golden Globes, the Grammy Awards and The Oscars with TODDLERS along with iconic political and inspirational leaders. This summer Toddlewood® will produce a timely high-profile project namely, The Toddlewood “Engineers of Equality” Project.

With each transformation, Tricia and her Toddlewood® team are met with long, sleepless days and nights to cast the budding young stars, design the wardrobes, create the set designs, props, produce the photo shoot and post-production activity.

Summer 2020 the Toddlewood® team, led by Tricia Messeroux, has decided to recreate images of notable Black male and female civil rights leaders/activists. This will be a powerful and beautiful educational project for black children, black families, the media and anyone who wants to learn about these amazing individuals who fought, and are still fighting, for justice and equality.

The result…a beautiful compilation coffee table book to commemorate the project. Net proceeds from the sale of each book will be donated to a social justice organization (TBD)…we are currently in the vetting process.

Through the years, Toddlewood has also been recognized by major media and a number of celebrities, expressing their love and excitement for Toddlewood on social media, Instagram, Twitter and TV interviews with the likes of Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Halle Berry, Adele, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Jennifer Lopez, just to name a few.

– 10 – 15 videos of the Toddlewood transformation which will be edited to include images and videos of the activists. These videos will be 3-5 minute documentary style videos posted throughout the summer

– The reveal: An in-person gallery exhibit to unveil the images (also available as a live stream IG, and FB)

– A compilation coffee table book of all the images

My team and I have started shooting the Toddlewood Engineers of Equality images in mid-July and we hope to be complete by mid-September.  Upon completion we plan on presenting an in-person and virtual unveiling at a local gallery.  Coffee table books will be available at that time.
